Matthew Henry was a British Nonconformist minister who wrote a masterful 6-volume commentary on the whole Bible in the year 1706. This Concise Commentary provides a succinct (brief in form but comprehensive in scope) look at nearly every verse in the Bible. The commentary is known for its scholarship, adherence to the Word of God, and its ease of reading. It has far more practical application than other modern commentaries and does not get entangled in theological discussions that can be intimidating to the everyday reader and student of the Bible.
