I have decided to follow Jesus is a popular Christian hymn that originated in Assam, India. It was prominently featured in Billy Graham’s crusades and became inseparable from the concept of altar calls. This song is not only about making a decision but also the hardest part of picking up the cross and following after Christ. The song is based upon Luke 9:57-62
I Have Decided to Follow Jesus Lyrics
I have decided to follow Jesus;
I have decided to follow Jesus;
I have decided to follow Jesus;
No turning back, no turning back.
Tho’ none go with me, I still will follow;
Tho’ none go with me I still will follow;
Tho’ none go with me, I still will follow;
No turning back, no turning back.
The world behind me, the cross before me;
The world behind me, the cross before me;
The world behind me, the cross before me;
No turning back, no turning back.
Will you decide now to follow Jesus;
Will you decide now to follow Jesus;
Will you decide now to follow Jesus;
No turning back, no turning back.
